How we check prices

What we record

For each vendor we read the public pricing page and record the plan names, monthly price, yearly price, included minutes, calls or conversations, the overage rate, the billing unit, setup fees and contract terms, with the date and the link. If a figure isn't on a public page, we write "not published" and don't estimate it.

How the calculator works

AI-handled calls are your monthly calls, or only the after-hours share if you pick that option. Minutes are calls times average length, rounded up per call where the vendor publishes a rounding rule (RingCentral uses 30 seconds; Rosie reportedly uses 60). For each vendor we price every published plan at your usage and show the cheapest. Rosie moves you up a plan instead of charging overage, so we do the same. "Starts at" prices are shown as "from". Vendors with no public price are listed as n/a and placed last.

How often

We aim to re-check every vendor monthly. Each vendor page shows the date we last read its pricing, and any change we find goes on the price-change log.

How we make money

Right now we don't. We have no affiliate deals and no sponsors, every vendor link on this site is a plain link, and no vendor has paid us anything.

That may change. If we join a vendor's affiliate program, its links will be marked as affiliate links on the page where they appear, and this section will name the program. If we sell a sponsored spot, it will be labeled "Sponsored" and kept apart from the bill board. Neither will ever change the bill board, which is sorted by your estimated cost alone, and no vendor can pay to change its numbers or its position.

Receptionist Math is run by Stoa Group, which also offers AI setup help to small businesses under the name Stoa Forward. That work doesn't influence how vendors are ranked here.
